Our Goals

Men’s rugby has been a mainstay of Club Sports on North Carolina State’s campus since 1965. Our biggest goal at NC State is to win games. To reach this goal, we have two objectives. The first is to teach each member of our team to play rugby. The second is to give each member of the team an opportunity to play the game. It is our job to prepare you as a player to perform at the highest level of rugby. We are committed to developing skilled rugby players that will enjoy the game throughout their lives. We can achieve success as a team through knowledge, dedication, and fitness. These key factors are the foundations of our team. With this in mind, we are committed to putting out the best team to represent our university. Our attitude is to learn to play and to play to win!

Practices are Held: Tuesday & Thursday 5:30-7:30pm. Upper Method Rd. Fields. Bring Cleats, gym shoes, a mouthguard, and athletic clothing appropriate for rugby. If you’ve never played before, and don’t know the rules we will teach you. Be prepared to learn, run, and hit hard. WE PRACTICE RAIN OR SHINE!

Special thanks goes out to World Rugby Shop this year for sponsoring the first ever Atlantic Coastic Invitational Sevens Touranment, giving out four new, cusomized balls for each of the ten teams entering the tournament.

Also, special thanks goes out to our following supporters:
